  „Dacă o lași şi ceramica te lasă. Nu e de glumit cu ea, o iei uşor, respecţi lutul şi el te va respecta pe tine”.

Iar paşii trebuie respectati cu rigurozitate:

„Încep cu procurarea şi pregătirea lutului. Eu aduc pământ, de preferinţa lut gri, scos de la aproape doi, trei metri, care este mărunţit, îndepărtez impurităţile, îl cern, apoi din cel curat fac o pastă. Îl frământ bine de mai multe ori. Simt la mână când este bun pentru a ridica vasul. Vasul îl ridic cu ajutorul şnurului. Prima dată realizez partea de jos a vasului, adică fundul vasului, care este asemănător cu o turtiţă, apoi fac un şnur pe care îl pun ca o spirală şi cu el ridic pereţii vasului presând mereu şi uniformizând. După ridicarea vasului netezesc şi decorez cu diverse motive: spirala simpla, spirala dubla, spirala celtică,  simpli şi dubli colţi de lup, colţi de lup în zig-zag. Ele reprezintă continuitatea vieţii pe pământ! Şi încrustate pe vas emană o anumită energie. E greu de explicat! Îl las la uscat câteva zile după care îl ard în cuptor după o tehnică unică, secretă şi veche de multe mii de ani, ca să obţin culoarea neagră specifică ceramicii de Vădastra. După scoaterea din cuptor fixez caolinul pe pereţii vasului, care are rolul de a scoate decorul in evidenta”, spune meşterul.

“If you leave the ceramic, the ceramic leaves you, too. It is no joke with it. You have to take it easy. If you respect it, the clay will respect you. And steps should be followed strictly: I start with the procurement and preparation of clay. I brought the clay, preferably gray clay, out of almost two to three meters depth. The clay is cut, sieved and impurities are removed then the pure clay form a paste. I dough it several times. I feel the clay with my hands if is good to build the pot. I tell you that clay has its energy! I build the pot using a string made by clay. First, I realize the bottom of the pot, which is like a little flat bread, then I put a cord as a spiral and I build the pot always pressing it’s walls and harmonizing the spiral cord. After building the pot I smooth and decorate it with various motifs from Vadastra culture which are more than 7 000 years old: simple spiral, double helix, Celtic spiral, simple and double wolf fangs, wolf fangs in zigzag and many others that evolved from Vadastra Culture. They represent the continuity of life on earth! And embedded on the pot exudes a certain energy. It’s hard to explain! I let them dry a few days and after that I burned them in a kiln  after a unique, secret and many thousands of years old technique, to obtain black ceramic specific for Vadastra Culture. After removing from kiln I fix kaolin on walls of the pot, which is designed to bring out the décor” says the pottery artisan.
